About The Position

Valkyrie extends healthcare access to rural communities with long-range autonomous drone logistics. We fly pharmaceuticals, blood products, and medical supplies on scheduled routes between hospitals and pharmacies. We're hiring the first pilots to fly at each new hub. You'll join an established leadership team and help set the airmanship standard every pilot after you will fly to. It's early enough that your judgment shapes how the hub runs, with the mission and the aircraft already in place. Safety is the job, not a slogan. Every pilot holds no-go authority, and there's no penalty for using it. Reporting a hazard is treated as a strength. If you've ever been pushed to launch anyway, you'll notice the difference.

Requirements

• Active FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
• 4+ years of sUAS operations, including significant BVLOS and RPIC experience
• Proven crew leadership and strong maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to pass TSA vetting and a background screening, and to travel occasionally

Nice To Haves

• Instructor or check-airman experience
• Contributions to safety cases or FAA submissions
• Fixed-wing or VTOL time
• Familiarity with the anticipated Part 108 rule
• A senior military UAS background

Responsibilities

• Fly as pilot in command on our most complex, long-range BVLOS missions
• Lead the crew on shift, running pre-flight briefings and making go/no-go calls
• Train, mentor, and run proficiency checks for junior and mid-level pilots
• Lead first response, investigation, and reporting on in-flight anomalies
• Write and refine SOPs, and contribute flight data to our safety cases
• Advise the Hub Manager on scheduling, readiness, and standards
• Help stand up new hubs and onboard new pilots
