About The Position

Our 870 Aurora site is seeking a Pilot Plant Associate II (2nd shift) to join our Operations team. The role is responsible for routine support of one or more pilot plant functions and sustaining activities. Responsibilities include Cleanroom & customer sample manufacture and process development. Sustaining activities include inventory control, routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and instrumentation, developing and updating department systems, and processing ERP batch transactions.

Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Proven understanding of equipment and instrumentation
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic laboratory and pilot-scale equipment and instrumentation
  • Ability to construct experimental processes from basic components
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Flexible and adaptable to variable schedule changes
  • Quality-minded with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to drive Forklift to transport Raw materials/Finish goods
  • Acquire Job Certification after one year (Forklift, Slurry room, Customer Sample)
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-tasking mode as well as a contributor in a team environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 1-year Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Executes routine/sequential tasks using detailed work instructions to manufacture lab or pilot scale slurries.
  • Tasks include storage, handling, and use of chemicals; routine physical property measurements; operation of standard unit operations (mixers, pumps, filters); timely & accurate documentation of results.
  • Identify and assist in the resolution of process OOC conditions
  • Uses good judgment to recognize and address deviations from standards, and equipment calibration to assure a high degree of accuracy and consistency in experimental results
  • Uses an understanding of equipment, instrumentation, and project goals to contribute to the development of accurate, detailed, and robust recipes as well as capable and robust processes
  • Follows established procedures and comply with standard systems to order, receive, handle, store, and ship materials as well as maintain equipment and instrumentation
  • Troubleshoots equipment and perform basic maintenance.
  • DIW and Wastewater System checks.
  • Verify and calibrate equipment as appropriate
  • Disposes of Non-hazardous waste material, stocks lab supplies, and completes general daily housekeeping
  • Actively participates in Entegris Safety initiatives and processes.
  • Adheres to all EH&S guidelines and policies within the company, all relevant ISO procedures and maintains personal safety within the workplace
