About The Position

Scott Bridge Company builds structures that serve and sustain life. We provide construction and emergency response services for complex highway, railroad, marine, and energy infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure the structural integrity of bridges, dams, bulkhead walls, and marine structures that will support communities for years to come through the safe installation of pile foundations. You will proudly work with a crew to self-perform pile driving operations, including installation of steel h-pile, steel pipe pile, prestressed concrete pile, prestressed concrete cylinder pile, and steel sheet pile. You will experience the variety and challenge of building a wide range of incredible structures. You will facilitate accurate construction execution by reading and interpreting plans and specifications, and closely collaborate with the project Superintendent, Foreman, Welders, Laborers, and skilled craftspersons. You will maneuver loads safely and accurately with the Crane Operator and ensure safe crane hoisting with construction rigging knowledge and use of hand signals. You will enable pile driving activities by assisting with assembling of equipment and materials. You will accurately and efficiently prepare and install piling with various tools, such as welders, torches, pneumatic power tools, and chainsaws. You will create structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing structures by placing concrete into forms and protect worker health and well-being by prioritizing a safe work environment and upholding regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Commitment to safety and integrity.
  • Familiarity with different pile hammers, including diesel, air, hydraulic, and drop hammers.
  • Ability to read blueprints and site plans.
  • Enjoy working with hands and performing physically intensive work.
  • Not afraid of heights.
  • Familiarity with construction rigging, including the use of slings, cable chokers, spreader bars, multi-part load blocks, and other similar devices.
  • Enjoy working outdoors.
  • Reliable transportation to the job site daily.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience installing pile with a hydraulic impact hammer.
  • Experience installing from a barge or work bridge.

Responsibilities
