About The Position

Perform physical labor on heavy construction projects and carry out activities involved in driving different types of piles using various equipment, in accordance with design drawings, specifications, and instructions. The position is classified as intermediate experience level.

Requirements

• May require a high school diploma or equivalent and previous years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Possess working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
• Understand, follow, and communicate written and oral instructions effectively with management and supervision.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to carry out work activities.
• May require a driver's license.
• Be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
• Have the required tools.
• Be able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across a construction or industrial site.
• Be able to perform the physical activities required on site, including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and maintaining balance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pile-driving leads, connect hoses, and rig materials and equipment.
• Arrange items to be installed in an erectable sequence and rig them for crane hoisting, using thorough knowledge of crane signals.
• Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist other craft workers as needed.
• Observe and comply with safety and project rules.
• Perform other duties as required.
