Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • +1 year of experience in construction field, Solar field preferred.
  • +1 year of experience on equipment
  • Valid drive license
  • Knowledge of equipment and their uses
  • Ability to understand and abide by all operating safety regulations, procedures, and operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such assembly procedures and installation manuals, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Performance-driven.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
  • Ability to follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and maneuver steering wheel to operator equipment.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain pile driving equipment as directed.
  • Occasional operation on other types of light equipment, including fork-lift, skid steer, telehandler, or mini excavator.
  • Operate Vermeer PD10 per requirements on site.
  • Operate other equipment to move objects or material according to project needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance to include lubricating, cleaning, and fueling.
  • Observe equipment operation to detect machine malfunction.
  • Read, understand, and apply Operating Manuals.
  • Follow Load capacity charts and assure proper equipment support based on equipment capacity and type.
  • Act as a leader and trainer on solar pile tasks and responsibilities.
  • Act in a professional manner at all times.
  • Maintain a daily production log.
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
