Pilates Instructor - Miller Place - Club Pilates
About The Position
Club Pilates is hiring a certified Pilates Instructor for its Miller Place location. The instructor will lead dynamic, fitness-based group Pilates classes for clients of all levels, using apparatus and equipment such as Balanced Body reformers, EXO chairs, TRX, springboards, and ballet barres. The role also includes providing additional sessions as needed, supporting client relationships and membership sales, and maintaining a safe, clean studio environment. Club Pilates offers blocked scheduling and shifts, opportunities to teach multiple class levels, a club membership, continuing education, employee status rather than independent-contractor status, growth potential, and a supportive and fun environment. Compensation includes a competitive base salary based on experience and performance, with potential for growth within the company.
Requirements
- Current full-apparatus Pilates certification with 450 hours of experience or equivalent.
- Experience teaching group classes.
- Ability to demonstrate effective group reformer instruction.
- Energetic, positive, and motivational teaching style.
- Ability to use a contemporary approach to classical exercises.
- Punctual, reliable, and dedicated.
- Desire to build a successful business in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Customer-service focus, including professional and effective communication skills.
- Experience with club management software or ability to learn new systems, such as Club Ready.
Responsibilities
- Provide Pilates group reformer classes according to Club Pilates standards.
- Instruct classes of up to 12 clients, using proper form and safe methods on equipment including reformers, springboards, EXO chairs, and hand weights.
- Conduct private, semi-private, demonstration, or other additional sessions as needed.
- Visually inspect equipment before each class to ensure it is in good working order and safe to use.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workout environment.
- Assist with membership sales and check clients in.
- Promote retail and membership sales and services to build studio revenue.
- Motivate and inspire clients in support of the motto “Do Pilates. Do Life.”
