About The Position

Nemours Children's Health, Delaware is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Wilmington, Delaware. The unit is part of a Level 1 Trauma Center and provides care and surveillance for patients with conditions including acute and reversible loss of consciousness, respiratory failure, compromised air exchange, cardiovascular dysfunction, hepatic failure, hemodynamic instability, renal dysfunction, central nervous system injury or dysfunction, acute trauma, and organ failure requiring transplantation. PICU treatments and interventions use advanced life-support technology, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, tracheal intubation, ECMO, pharmacologic support of circulation, mechanical ventilation, point-of-care monitoring, CRRT, thoracentesis, and hemodynamic, intracranial pressure, and intravascular monitoring. Patient rooms have electrocardiographic, pulse oximetry, respiratory, hemodynamic, and intracranial pressure monitoring capabilities, as well as central EKG and respiratory monitoring. Portable monitoring is available during patient transport. This is a full-time night-shift position.
