About The Position

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PICU RN) coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements and the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Working with medical providers and other care-team members, the nurse provides individualized, comprehensive, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The PICU RN advocates for patients, families, and caregivers and supports the organization’s vision, mission, and values to promote positive patient experiences, clinical outcomes, and departmental performance.

Requirements

Registered Nurse Diploma.
Basic Cardiac Life Support.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor certification must be obtained within one year of employment start date.
Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) qualification.

Responsibilities
