About The Position

The Pickleball Pro is responsible for teaching private and group pickleball lessons, coordinating leagues and mixers, and implementing student-centered, rally-based teaching methods. A key aspect of the role is to grow revenue, meet financial goals, and provide excellent member-centric customer service to foster repeat business and referrals. This involves actively monitoring, demonstrating, and instructing students on proper techniques, tactics, and strategies, with an average of 30+ hours of on-court teaching per week. The Pro will develop safe, professional, and comprehensive pickleball programs designed to ensure student development and positive engagement. Additionally, the role includes creating exceptional member experiences through various programs, tournaments, and special events, utilizing marketing support, and maintaining clean, organized pickleball facilities and equipment. The Pickleball Pro will also contribute to system-wide sales efforts, collaborating with Membership Advisors and Member Activities to integrate pickleball into the Life Time brand, and attending relevant meetings.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills, friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude
Thorough knowledge of the game of pickleball and possesses effective teaching styles and techniques
Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills
Comfortable working with all age groups and building positive relationships with members and team members
Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds
HS Graduate or Equivalent
1-2 Years of Experience
Within 6 months of hire must completed one of the following certifications: International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) and/or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR)

Responsibilities

Teach private pickleball lessons and group programming.

Monitors, demonstrates, and instructs students during pickleball lessons on proper techniques, tactics, and strategies to improve their overall pickleball game.
Personally teaches on court on average 30+ hours per week.
Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive pickleball lessons and programs to ensure students develop along a pathway that will encourage continued involvement and a positive Net Promoter Score.
Creates exceptional member experiences by involving members with programs, tournaments, and special events, fully utilizing available marketing support and tools.
Ensures the pickleball facilities and equipment used for pickleball are clean, organized and in good working condition.
Participates in the system wide sales effort with Membership Advisors and Member Activities, ensuring pickleball is an integral component of the Life Time brand.
Attends specific meetings related to pickleball.
