About The Position

The program assistant is responsible for providing motivation, support and proper technical instruction to all clients, and will conduct themselves in a positive and professional manner, resulting in friendly, convenient and courteous customer service. As an employee of the Old Colony YMCA, the program assistant is committed to providing excellence in service for all members, clients, volunteers and fellow employees. Through the efforts of the program assistant, members will receive professional, safe care in a well-maintained and friendly environment. The program assistant will demonstrate character values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility at all times.

Requirements

• Current coaching/instructor certification as approved by Senior Program Director
• Previous practical and relevant experience in the field.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Ability to bend, kneel, move, or stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, move, carry 45 lbs.; and ability to occasionally lift, move, carry weights in excess of 45lbs. alone or with assistance.
