About The Position

Arch Amenities Group, the global leader in wellness, spa, fitness, and leisure services, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Pickleball Instructor to lead dynamic and engaging pickleball programs for members and guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in racquet sports, a friendly and approachable teaching style, and a passion for growing the sport of pickleball across all skill levels.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1--3 years of experience teaching or coaching pickleball, tennis, or similar racquet sports.
  • Certification from a recognized pickleball or racquet sports organization (e.g., PPR, IPTPA) preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Energetic, positive, and able to motivate and instruct players in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems for scheduling, billing, and communication.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and be physically active for extended periods.
  • College degree or comparable work experience
  • Previous Tennis Pro experience preferred
  • Must be an experienced, strong, successful player
  • Teaching certifications from USTA or USPTA
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic
  • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Teach private, semi-private, and group pickleball lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute clinics, open play sessions, social mixers, and competitive events such as tournaments or ladder leagues.
  • Promote pickleball programs to drive participation and member engagement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment on and around the courts.
  • Ensure equipment (nets, paddles, balls) is in good condition and available as needed.
  • Assist in scheduling lessons and court time using the facility's reservation system.
  • Support the development and distribution of marketing materials for pickleball programs.
  • Provide excellent customer service, respond to inquiries, and collect participant feedback.
  • Collaborate with facility and corporate staff to grow the pickleball program and contribute to strategic improvements.
  • Monitor court access and enforce facility rules and safety protocols.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to attendance tracking, billing, and reporting.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and other facility functions as required.
  • Assists in the development of a comprehensive standard facility operations manual, including written policies and procedures for all facility services, administration, and maintenance using the Arch Amenities Group operations template.
  • Reports any incidents or accidents to the Tennis Director and or Facility Manager.
  • Assists in developing monthly client reports.
  • Submits all paperwork and financial reporting, if applicable, in accordance with Arch Amenities Group policy.
  • Assists in facility maintenance, routine preventative maintenance, and repair.
  • Helps maintain a monthly inventory of supplies, equipment, and or products.
  • Writes articles or press releases for the facility, when applicable.
  • Understands the use and benefits of services, products, programs, and activities by participating in regularly scheduled staff meetings and training workshops.
  • Provides excellent customer service and helps monitor guest feedback through the use of comment cards and other customer care techniques. Follows up on guest requests and comments.
  • Helps ensure facility is accessed only by actual members and/or guests, and that it is safe and secure at all times. Helps uphold guest rule policy and collects all guest fees.
  • Have a deep knowledge of the intricacies of the game.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the courts and surrounding areas by patrolling the courts several times daily.
  • Follows the court reservation system to ensure a smooth and even flow of traffic on and off courts.
  • Offers all instructional services including private and semi private lessons, small groups, clinics, team coaching, and tactics and strategy.
  • Assists in the coordination of all social and competitive events including special tournaments.
  • Implements programs for adults and juniors.
  • Participates in overseeing all pro shop and retail functions, when applicable.
  • Submits all lesson and /or sales forms to the Tennis Director or Facility Director.
  • Attends staff and facility meetings.
  • Promotes the facility and its amenities to potential members when applicable.
  • Maintains an attractive, up-to-date bulletin board.
  • Other duties as assigned
