About The Position

This position is responsible for receiving coversheets and assigned carts for each series of orders, logging onto the voice system to begin the voice-directed picking process. The Picker moves the cart through the product bin aisles and picks the corresponding products from product bins, placing the correct product and quantity into the cart. Small items are placed into bags or banded together for easier identification. The Picker verifies product during the picking process and may maintain daily individual production records, which are reviewed by the supervisor. After completing the cart, the Picker returns the cart to the staging area and disposes of empty boxes and packaging appropriately to maintain safe and clean working conditions. The role also participates in special projects and performs other duties as required. Additionally, all positions are responsible for meeting company standards for quantity and quality of work, complying with all Company policies and procedures, and adhering to standards of workplace behavior.

Requirements

  • Good reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
  • Good communication (written/verbal) skills.
  • Detail oriented and accountable for making accurate decisions under set guidelines.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work under stress, and handle multiple assignments.
  • Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, vendor code).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of basic warehousing operations preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Returns cart to staging area after completing the cart.
  • Disposes of empty boxes and packaging appropriately to maintain safe and clean working conditions.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
  • Meets company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures including WorldWide Business Standards.
  • Adheres to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
