About The Position

This role involves receiving assigned carts for order series, logging into a voice system for directed picking, and moving through product aisles to pick and place correct products and quantities into the cart. The position requires verifying products during picking and potentially packing, maintaining production records, and packing customer orders. Responsibilities include selecting appropriate packaging, ensuring neat and correct packing to maintain quality, reporting errors, and processing special orders. The role also involves disposing of packaging, participating in special projects, and adhering to company standards for quantity, quality, and workplace behavior.

Requirements

Good reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
Good communication (written/verbal) skills.
Detail oriented and accountable for making accurate decisions under set guidelines.
Good problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow instructions, work under stress, and handle multiple assignments.
Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, vendor code).
Knowledge of basic warehousing operations preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable work experience.

Responsibilities

Receive coversheet and assigned cart for each series of orders.
Log onto the voice system to begin the voice-directed picking process.
Move cart through product bin aisles and pick corresponding products.
Place correct product and quantity into the cart, bagging or banding small items.
Verify product during the picking and potentially packing process.
Maintain daily individual production records.
Return cart to staging area after completing the cart.
Pack customer orders by verifying products and checking off packing lists.
Select appropriately sized boxes or envelopes for shipment.
Pack all orders neatly and correctly in a box to ensure quality, including appropriate packing of glass, liquids, and standing items.
Follow proper packing procedures.
Report any error in product selection or quality to the appropriate team member or area and/or correct the order as necessary before shipment.
Send packed orders along the conveyor system to the appropriate location for packing material and sealing.
Place packed customer orders on the conveyor system for shipment.
Process special orders using the special order process.
Dispose of empty boxes and packaging appropriately to maintain safe and clean working conditions.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
Meet company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed.
Perform all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
Adhere to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior.
