About The Position

This position is responsible for preparing product to ship per customer’s request. Key responsibilities include pulling correct product from shelves, safely operating a sit-down tow motor, receiving, counting, and inspecting incoming materials, and ensuring physical inventory is properly allocated in the system. The role also involves collaborating with supervisors to address missing product, assisting assemblers with product from warehouse shelves, and packaging finished goods for stock and orders. Additionally, the position requires using a pallet wrapper for shipping preparation, assembling and checking product by labeling, packing, counting, and sealing, and reporting basic material, production, and quality control issues. The role may also involve learning and operating other equipment like drill presses and saws, reading blueprints for specifications, performing in-process inspections, moving material with a forklift or pallet jack, and maintaining an orderly work area using the 5S procedure. Effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to company policies are essential. Excellent attendance is required, along with performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Tow motor skills preferred
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measure
  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures
  • Safety conscious behavior
  • Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 60+ lbs. frequently
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently
  • Sit, stand, and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day
  • Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Pull correct product from shelf for orders
  • Safely operate a tow motor sit down
  • Receive, count, and inspect incoming materials while using the handheld to make transactions in the system accordingly.
  • Ensure the physical inventory is properly allocated into the bins in the system and update with each physical movement of inventory
  • Collaborate with department supervisor and receiving department to determine when product is missing in a delivery
  • Utilize tow motor to assist assemblers with product from warehouse shelves
  • Package finished goods for stock and orders that need to be shipped
  • Utilize the pallet wrapper to prepare orders for shipping
  • Assemble and check product by labeling, packing, counting, and sealing finished goods for stock / orders to be shipped
  • Use wrapper for preparing skid orders to ship
  • Report and document basic material, production, and quality control issues
  • Must be willing to learn and operate other equipment including drill presses, band / table saw
  • Has the ability to read blueprints to ascertain correct specifications and perform in-process inspections
  • Safely move material using forklift and/or pallet jack
  • Cleans and maintains an orderly work area using the 5S procedure set up
  • Assist other individuals in area when needed
  • Communicates effectively with other workers, promotes teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to company policies, process, and procedures
