About The Position

Our Operations group is currently looking to add a Picker / Boom Truck Operator to the team, based in Dawson Creek, BC. Reporting to the Operations Lead, this position will operate a 25-ton picker truck in support of a Pipeline Construction Project. Please Note: this position will work a rotation of 6 days on / 1 day off.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience operating a picker in construction or pipeline environments
• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement
• Valid Crane Operator Certification (provincial or Red Seal, where applicable)
• Proven ability to safely perform lifts in challenging terrain and weather conditions
• All job level tickets: First Aid, H2S Alive, CCSO
• Must be able to pass a pre employment Drug and Alcohol Test
• Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Perform hoisting activities in compliance with lift plans and site procedures
• Inspect rigging and ensure all loads are secure prior to lifting
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment
• Work closely with ground crew, signalers, and supervisors to complete lifts safely
• Adhere to all occupational health & safety regulations and company policies
• Maintain accurate equipment logs and documentation
