Air Liquide is Hiring for a Pick-up & Delivery Driver / Shipper & Receiver in Bramalea. This role offers a collaborative work team, an hourly wage of $36.86, day shift with no weekends, and an ultra-safe work environment. The primary function of this position is to supply customers by making P&D deliveries of cylinder products by palletized trucks on a rotating basis according to ALC guidelines and procedures, using appropriate equipment, complying with hazardous materials transportation laws and regulations, and ensuring that ALC's safety and quality objectives are promoted.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid Class DZ or AZ Driver’s License (2–5 years of experience preferred).
  • Clean Driving Record (Driver’s Abstract & CVOR).
  • Forklift Certification (an asset; training provided).
  • WHMIS & Hazardous Materials certification (or ability to obtain; assistance/training provided).
  • Experience operating similar equipment in various weather and traffic conditions.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Basic computer literacy to record freight information and process delivery documentation.
  • Flexible availability to work required shifts, full-time hours, and indoor/outdoor weather conditions.
  • Able to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs, walk, bend, push, and pull throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, courteous delivery of cylinder gases and welding supplies.
  • Pick up empty cylinders at customer sites as required.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, Account Executives, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams.
  • Advise customers on proper handling and storage of cylinders and report safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Drive to assigned sites based on daily dispatch, complete deliveries/pick-ups, and offload trucks upon return.
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are operated safely and maintained in proper working/visual condition.
  • Apply dangerous goods placards in compliance with TDG regulations.
  • Issue accurate delivery notes and receipts for all products supplied and returned to guarantee correct invoicing.
  • Maintain accurate driver/vehicle logs (PANDA, TDG, WHMIS documentation, highway log) following all CMS procedures.
  • Inspect returned cylinders, tag damaged/defective units with customer details, and record issues in the Quality System.
  • Report system-related issues immediately to the CMS team.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently with team members according to Transport Canada, MTO, and Air Liquide policies.
  • Pick cylinders from dispatch pick lists and build/set up pallets for daily deliveries.
  • Safely move, handle, identify, sort, and condition cylinders throughout the yard and warehouse.
  • Prepare cylinders for filling operations.
  • Perform routine safety and operational checks on warehouse equipment (Forklifts, cylinder carts, dock plates, tailgates).
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume environment while prioritizing tasks.
  • Identify defective or non-conforming products, quarantine them, and notify the Supervisor and Head of QC.
  • Assist in investigating customer complaints and quality defects.
