About The Position

The Pick & Prep Clerk prepares Pick & Prep products and provides product preparation services to create a sensory and engaging guest experience while operating at or above company standards. The role involves guest engagement, product preparation and presentation, merchandising, and maintaining quality, sanitation, and safety standards.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability and willingness to actively engage guests and have fun with them.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical job requirements, including knife skills.
Effective communication, guest-service, and selling skills.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Ability to communicate effectively with and take direction from supervisors.
Ability to work well with computers and scales.

Responsibilities

Engage guests through product preparation, active sampling, and suggestive selling.
Demonstrate superior guest service, including telling stories about department products and highlighting benefits such as freshness, health, seasonality, and local sourcing.
Demonstrate knife showmanship to highlight Pick & Prep services and offerings.
Operate the Pick & Prep area according to merchandising and operational standards.
Ensure products for sale meet Lowes Foods quality standards.
Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising, and guest service as needed to achieve standards.
Make public-address announcements.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
