About The Position

This role is responsible for verifying received items by matching product descriptions, quantities, packaging units, and expiration dates against putaway documents or RF devices. The position involves breaking down received products into correct selling units and stocking them in the appropriate locations. It also requires noting discrepancies, rotating stock for items with expiration dates, and learning to utilize RF technology. Damaged products should be moved to the designated area or reported to the spill team. Training will also be provided in other distribution functions such as Receiving and Picking. The role includes participation in special projects and other duties as required. Additionally, employees are expected to meet company standards for quantity and quality of work, comply with all company policies and procedures, and adhere to standards of workplace behavior.

Requirements

  • Good reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
  • Good communication (written/verbal) skills.
  • Detail oriented and accountable for making accurate decisions under set guidelines.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work under stress, and handle multiple assignments.
  • Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, vendor code).
  • Lift, carry or move products up to: 0-25 lbs – Continuous
  • Lift, carry or move products up to: 25 - 50 lbs – Infrequent
  • Pushing/pulling: uses hand jack. 25lbs of force is needed.
  • Gripping and fine hand manipulation: Continuously
  • Twist/bending: Frequently
  • Squatting: Frequently
  • Kneeling: Frequently
  • Reaching overhead: Occasionally
  • Climbing ladders/stepstools: Occasionally
  • Walk/stand on concrete: Continuously
  • Use of Put away/Replenishment cart: Occasionally
  • Utilizes hand tools such as utility knife, pallet jack, RF device and tape gun

  • Knowledge of basic warehousing operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies that items have been received correctly by matching product description, quantity, packaging unit, and expiration date (where applicable) on the putaway document or RF device, with the product received.
  • Breaks down products received into correct selling units and puts products into correct stocking location, as noted on the putaway document or RF device.
  • Notes discrepancies and marks products for review by department team lead or supervisor as appropriate.
  • Ensures items with expiration dates have stock rotated accordingly.
  • Learns to utilize RF technology.
  • Moves damaged products or inventory to the designated damaged area in Inventory Control or calls the spill team as appropriate.
  • Will also be trained in various distribution functions such as Receiving and Picking.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
  • Meets company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis.
  • Performs all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures including WorldWide Business Standards.
  • Adheres to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.

Benefits

  • Hourly rate of $18.00 (in Sparks, Nevada)
  • Increase of $1.25 to a current employee's hourly rate for internal promotions
  • No change to hourly rate for lateral, internal transfers
