About The Position

Catalyx is seeking a Technical PI Developer to support the administration, development, and technical configuration of a PI System environment. This senior, hands-on role is ideal for a technically strong professional with a software development mindset and experience working with PI, equipment integrations, and GMP-regulated environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in technical, software development, PI, automation, engineering, or related role.
  • Hands-on experience with OSIsoft PI / AVEVA PI System administration, development, configuration, or support.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to get into the weeds of complex PI and equipment integration issues.
  • Experience working with PI tags, data collection, interfaces/connectors, and system configuration.
  • Understanding of fundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a GMP or other regulated environment.
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, engineering, laboratory, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior technical developer for the PI System, supporting administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and development activities.
  • Support the integration and onboarding of new equipment and systems into the PI environment.
  • Create, modify, and manage PI tags and related configurations.
  • Perform technical compatibility assessments for new equipment, systems, and data sources.
  • Work with laboratory and manufacturing equipment to understand how data is generated, collected, and integrated into PI.
  • Troubleshoot PI-related technical issues and identify opportunities for system improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT, engineering, laboratory, manufacturing, and other technical stakeholders to ensure reliable data collection and system integration.
  • Support work within a GMP-regulated environment, following applicable procedures, documentation requirements, and validation practices.
  • Assist with technical documentation, testing, change control, and other activities associated with regulated system implementations.
  • Apply an understanding of networking concepts to troubleshoot connectivity and integration issues between equipment, systems, and PI.
  • Participate in PI administration and development activities, including configuration and ongoing system maintenance.
