About The Position

Catalyx is seeking a Technical PI Developer to support the administration, development, and technical configuration of a PI System environment. This senior, hands-on role is ideal for a technically strong professional with a software development mindset and experience working with PI, equipment integrations, and GMP-regulated environments.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in technical, software development, PI, automation, engineering, or related role.
Hands-on experience with OSIsoft PI / AVEVA PI System administration, development, configuration, or support.
Strong technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to get into the weeds of complex PI and equipment integration issues.
Experience working with PI tags, data collection, interfaces/connectors, and system configuration.
Understanding of fundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting.
Ability to work effectively in a GMP or other regulated environment.
Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, engineering, laboratory, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

Serve as a senior technical developer for the PI System, supporting administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and development activities.
Support the integration and onboarding of new equipment and systems into the PI environment.
Create, modify, and manage PI tags and related configurations.
Perform technical compatibility assessments for new equipment, systems, and data sources.
Work with laboratory and manufacturing equipment to understand how data is generated, collected, and integrated into PI.
Troubleshoot PI-related technical issues and identify opportunities for system improvements.
Collaborate with IT, engineering, laboratory, manufacturing, and other technical stakeholders to ensure reliable data collection and system integration.
Support work within a GMP-regulated environment, following applicable procedures, documentation requirements, and validation practices.
Assist with technical documentation, testing, change control, and other activities associated with regulated system implementations.
Apply an understanding of networking concepts to troubleshoot connectivity and integration issues between equipment, systems, and PI.
Participate in PI administration and development activities, including configuration and ongoing system maintenance.
