About The Position

BrokerLink is seeking a Personal Insurance Advisor to join its growing team. The role provides personal insurance service and advice to clients, supports new business and retention, and handles policy documentation, renewals, and account receivables. The position is part of a customer-focused, inclusive team and includes participation in training and community marketing initiatives. Requirements

• Previous customer experience is required.
• Strong customer focus.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of personal insurance experience is preferred; candidates without insurance experience are also considered.
• Exposure to Epic is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Service ongoing client needs, advise on insurance matters, conduct needs assessments, recommend solutions, answer inquiries, conduct care calls, and process renewals.
• Sell new policies and write new business for existing or new clients, while retaining the existing book of business.
• Quote new business through outbound call initiatives and introductory letters, and assist walk-in clients.
• Contact underwriters and adjusters to discuss guidelines and policies.
• Prepare insurer documentation, complete client applications, issue insurance certificates, process changes, and review renewals.
• Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes.
• Actively participate in training initiatives.
• Participate in community marketing initiatives.
• Process accounts receivable activities.
• Provide guidance and assistance as requested.
