About The Position

Reporting to the Program Manager and under the direction of the physiotherapist, the Physiotherapist Aide is responsible for patient and departmental preparations, assisting the physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants with specific, limited patient care activities as approved by the manager, and the management of supplies, linen and equipment in the department.

Requirements

Grade 12/GED required
Current certification in WHIMIS
Basic knowledge of infection control
Demonstrated understanding of the importance of cleanliness in a hospital
Ability to establish good relationships
Good judgement and demonstrated initiative
Team player with effective communication skills
Demonstrated computer competency to fulfil job duties of electronic communication & clinic organization and online order entry

Nice To Haves

Previous ward/unit aide or patient attendant experience preferred
Prior experience ordering and stocking supplies
Prior experience ordering supplies in SAP or an alternate online order system asset
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
