Working within the community with individuals, families and groups, the physiotherapist assesses diagnoses and treats patients in the community. The Physiotherapist educates and communicates with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers with regard to health promotion and physiotherapy treatment. The Physiotherapist provides supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students, and supervision of physiotherapy assistant(s)/rehab assistant(s). The Physiotherapist is a member of the NSH Community Transition outreach team based at Hogan Court site of West Bedford Transitional Health (WBTH) but provides services to clients throughout Central Zone and will work collaboratively within the two sites of WBTH. Some opportunity to work from home is available. Winter driving skills and a reliable vehicle are required for this position.
