Leverages physics expertise to test and analyze physical phenomena to support S&T client challenges. Applies advanced advisory skills or extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction. Mentors and may supervise team members.

Requirements

5+ years of experience assessing the impact of electromagnetic fields on utilities such as electrical power systems
5+ years of experience with EMP testing of mission-critical equipment and facilities including analyzing sufficiency of test plans and test reporting for meeting MIL-STDs
3+ years of experience studying nuclear weapons effects, electromagnetic wave propagation theory, electronic system design, fault isolation, installation, and electromagnetic RF testing
3+ years of experience designing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment
Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience with nuclear weapons effects propagation, mitigation theory or practice, and space radiation and weather effects protection or survivability
3+ years of experience with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), electromagnetic interference (EMI), and protection of electrical systems
3+ years of experience with modeling and simulation with emphasis on models that assess the effects of space radiation and nuclear blast-generated effects on ground systems
Knowledge of Combatant Command level operations, including military systems, missions, personnel, and capabilities
Master's degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering
