NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a skilled medical physicist to join the physics group of an expanding department of Radiation Oncology. This is a patient-focused, high-tech environment offering leading-edge treatments including a newly installed Icon Gamma Knife, MR-guided treatments, OSMS, ExacTrac, INTRABEAM IORT, TBI, HDR treatments and LDR implants. The department consists of two locations: one on the 4th floor of a recently built 18-story outpatient facility, and the second is a hospital-based department. Treatment planning utilizes Eclipse, Brainlab, Leksell Gamma Plan, and Velocity platforms, all integrated with ARIA for EMR and Record&Verify systems. The successful candidate will join a team of 6 staff physicists, 3 faculty physicists, and 7 dosimetrists supporting a practice of 10 physicians. This role involves active participation with the Gamma Knife Icon unit, as well as standard radiation therapy physics activities such as machine calibrations, equipment QA, treatment planning, dosimetry measurements, calculations, brachytherapy, radiation safety, and some teaching. The department also hosts a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency program.
