About The Position

The Diagnostic Imaging Physicist utilizes the scientific method to provide both physics and technical support. This specific position will focus solely on MRI. They evaluate exam protocols, image post-processing, and diagnostic imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance. The Diagnostic Imaging Physicist also assists with all aspects of clinical research and development in medical imaging and works to optimize diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and promoting best practices. The Diagnostic Imaging Physicist acts as a resource and provides technical support for MRI, including 7T, low-field, MRA, MRS and MRE.

Requirements

  • 2-year experience requirement (Recent graduates from a Medical Physics Residency satisfy this requirement).
  • Candidates actively pursuing ABR or ABMP MR Imaging Physics certification are encouraged to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge related to pulse sequence programming or RF simulations is desirable.
