The Physician will provide daily management and treatment of patients at the Clinic/Practice. This role involves providing clinical services including diagnosis, treatment, and referral, as well as participating in the establishment of office policies, procedures, and medical protocols. The physician will appropriately refer patients to medical specialists, comply with BMA/BCHS policies and procedures, and utilize the program's computer system for charting. Key responsibilities include adhering to case management protocols, assisting with quality assurance and improvement plans, and working with Administration to ensure the program operates consistently with medical policy and professional standards. The role also involves maintaining telephone contact with patients, payers, and pharmacies, performing various physical exams (Routine, DOT, Post-Offer, Executive, CDL, Annual, School/Sport), and potentially serving as a Medical Review Officer (MRO) for drug screens or Director for on-site Laboratory services. Occasional duties may fall outside regularly scheduled office hours, and participation in community events and public relations calls is also expected as time permits.
