About The Position

Burnett Medical Center is seeking a full-time primary care physician to provide care to our hospital and clinic patients, and nursing home residents. HOURS: Full-time, M-F with some evenings and weekends. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides comprehensive medical care across the organization’s integrated care settings, including the hospital, primary care clinic, and Continuing Care Center (nursing home). This role is responsible for the ongoing management of patients across the care continuum, emphasizing continuity, quality, and coordination of care. Delivers evidence-based clinical care, manages both outpatient and inpatient services, and provides medical oversight for long-term care residents. The position works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care, while supporting organizational goals related to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Board certified or board eligible
  • Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in the State of Wisconsin
  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Strong observational, analytical, and people skills
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent report-writing and documentation skills
  • Growth mindset and commitment to excellence in the field.
