About The Position
Skilled Wound Care is a national wound care physician group seeking motivated MDs and DOs who want to step off the hospital treadmill, leave the legal and administrative burnout behind, and get back to practicing pure medicine. As a mobile wound care physician and independent contractor, you will provide critical, hands-on care to a vulnerable geriatric population in nursing facilities. You make the clinical decisions. You manage your outcomes. We handle the rest. This role offers true autonomy as an independent contractor (1099 provider) with no overhead, no call, no weekends, and significantly reduced administrative and documentation time through a custom software system. The field of wound care is rapidly advancing, and the company fosters a supportive and dynamic environment with opportunities for professional development and camaraderie.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Active, clear, and unrestricted Texas medical license.
- Active and unrestricted DEA license.

- You do not need to have completed a full residency program.
- You do not need to be Board Certified/Eligible to thrive in this role.
