About The Position

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Emergency Medicine Seek an Urgent care Physician. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Elkins, WV. The West Virginia University Health System is West Virginia’s largest health system and the state’s largest employer. The system has undergone significant expansion in specialty and sub-specialty care in areas such as cancer, heart and vascular, and neuroscience, among many others. The Health System operates West Virginia’s first and only multi-organ transplant center, and opened a new, 150-bed Children’s Hospital in September 2022. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical license.
  • Board certified/eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the area of Urgent Care.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
