Deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment serving U.S. government personnel and contractors in Iraq. This role offers the opportunity to practice broad-spectrum medicine, collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and make a meaningful impact through high-quality acute, urgent, and preventative care. Location: Iraq Position Overview We are seeking a board-certified Physician with a background in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine to provide primary and urgent care services in an outpatient clinical setting. This role supports a diverse adult patient population and includes evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, stabilization, and coordination of care across a wide range of medical conditions. The physician will work closely with advanced practice providers and onsite clinical teams to deliver patient-centered care while supporting health promotion, preventative medicine, emergency response readiness, and continuity of care. Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine required
  • Current unrestricted U.S. medical license in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
  • Current ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent clinical experience, including at least 6 months of practice within the last year
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to meet credentialing, onboarding, immunization, and clinical compliance requirements, including mandatory training participation
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English effectively for clinical communication and documentation
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card required
  • Valid U.S. passport with a minimum of 18 months remaining before expiration required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government MRPT security clearance
  • Must be willing and able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the assignment
  • Ability to meet pre-deployment physical requirements, including prolonged standing or sitting and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting military or government healthcare operations
  • Experience practicing in urgent care, emergency medicine, occupational health, or remote clinical environments
  • Prior interdisciplinary or operational medicine experience in fast-paced clinical settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary, urgent, and initial emergency care, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and stabilization across a broad range of medical conditions
  • Deliver preventative and wellness services including health promotion, patient education, annual and emergent vaccinations, and comprehensive STD testing
  • Manage episodic and limited chronic care needs while coordinating follow-up care and specialty consultation as appropriate
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and support personnel to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
  • Support emergency response activities, including participation in mass casualty exercises and coordination with medical evacuation teams when higher levels of care are required
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with clinical protocols, organizational standards, and ongoing training requirements
  • Provide clinical oversight and leadership to onsite medical staff within the clinic environment
