Requirements

Medical doctorate (MD) or doctor of osteopathy (DO) from an accredited university
Two (2) years post-residency clinical experience in an outpatient/inpatient setting
Licensed in the state of employment
Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and applicable certifications
Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine

Nice To Haves

Psychiatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

Assess patients’ physical health through examinations and diagnostic procedures
Provide and oversee documentation, outside referrals, consultations, and follow-ups
Offer clinical oversight and support to ARNPs, including care provision and documentation review
Perform minor medical procedures such as sutures, IV placement, and lumbar puncture
Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff and provide education to patients and families
Oversight of clinical care activities provided by ARNPs
After-hours on-call responsibilities
Ensure compliance with safety procedures
Tailor treatment plans to the patient's age and development
Travel may be required depending on facility needs
Work is primarily in correctional or clinical settings
