About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is seeking motivated physicians to lead wound care initiatives within Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout the Baltimore Metro, including the surrounding counties. This opportunity is ideal for seasoned attending physicians looking to escape the rigid bureaucracy of large academic systems or physicians seeking clinical autonomy outside the high-pressure hospital environment. The role offers a high-impact path without academic red tape, a true Monday-Friday opportunity with no nights, no weekends, and no pagers. Physicians will utilize the latest advancements in wound healing to change lives in local Maryland communities, performing surgical debridement and other bedside procedures, and applying advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols. Collaboration within the post-acute setting is also a key component of the role.

Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted/Clear Maryland Medical License (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA License (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Surgeons of all backgrounds, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine physicians are welcome.
• No previous wound care experience is required; comprehensive specialty training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead wound care initiatives within Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Perform surgical debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Apply advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborate within the post-acute setting.
