The Physician will conduct a program of primary medical care, providing examination, diagnosis, and treatment for CVHS patients. This role involves obtaining medical history, interpreting diagnostic tests, diagnosing ailments, and performing necessary treatments, including minor surgical procedures. The Physician will also refer patients for consultation when needed, prescribe medication, and provide medical supervision to assigned health professionals. Additionally, the role includes directing and participating in preventive health programs, providing health consultations to community groups, and leading clinical staff in a team-based, patient-centered medical practice model. The Physician will also participate in Quality Assurance Programs, maintain high standards of professional behavior, and engage in continuing professional education. Responsibilities extend to providing after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage, including phone consultation or in-person visits as needed. Timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record (eClinicalWorks), including coding and billing functions, is essential. The Physician must also adhere to CVHS security protocols, participate in relevant committees, attend work as scheduled, and perform other assigned duties.
