About The Position

Brookline Collaborative Care Clinic is a new, multidisciplinary medical centre opening in West Bedford, Nova Scotia. Designed by experienced health care administrators for physicians, our clinic combines modern infrastructure, efficient workflows, and a compassionate, collaborative culture. We’re dedicated to improving access to care while supporting provider wellness, satisfaction, and autonomy. The clinic will be open for walk-in services three times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Physicians will participate in a rotating schedule with the flexibility to choose preferred shifts each month, supported by highly trained triage nurses and the practice manager to optimize patient flow and care quality. You’ll practise in an operationally efficient, collaborative clinic environment that improves access to care while ensuring you feel supported, valued, and able to focus on medicine and not logistics. You’ll also work with an experienced management team focused on physician wellness and operational efficiency. As we expand, you will collaborate with colleagues across family medicine, mental health, and allied health services. Take advantage of our billing specialist, highly experienced practice manager, and triage nurse who are all set to assist you in successful shifts. This document will be faxed to each patient’s family physician to ensure any necessary follow up is arranged without increasing the responsibilities for our rapid care providers. Rapid strep, urine screening, and pregnancy tests will all be readily available for patients to purchase; which will allow treatment without delays. Requirements

Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) for family physicians.
Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).

Responsibilities

Participate in a rotating schedule with the flexibility to choose preferred shifts each month.
Optimize patient flow and care quality with support from triage nurses and the practice manager.
Focus on medicine and not logistics in a collaborative clinic environment.
Collaborate with colleagues across family medicine, mental health, and allied health services as the clinic expands.
Utilize a highly utilized EMR and patient communication platform.
Assist in successful shifts with the support of a billing specialist, practice manager, and triage nurse.
See a higher volume of patients suffering from semi-urgent issues using a designed Walk-in clinic template.
Fax patient visit summaries to their family physicians for follow-up arrangements.
Provide rapid strep, urine screening, and pregnancy tests for patients.
