About The Position

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to join our team in Festus. We offer flexible scheduling options in a collaborative and modern clinical environment. As a Physician at Mercy-GoHealth, you’ll independently provide a wide range of clinical services, including examining and treating patients with acute conditions, taking medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, making diagnoses, prescribing medications, performing minor procedures, administering vaccinations, documenting patient progress, and coordinating follow-up care. You will also supervise and collaborate with PA/NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support, working 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting. Requirements

  • Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds
  • Active state medical license
  • 2 years of post-residency clinical experience, ideally in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting
  • Experience treating patients across all age groups
  • Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers

Responsibilities
