Requirements

Medical doctorate (MD) or doctor of osteopathy (DO) from an accredited university
Two (2) years post-residency clinical experience in an outpatient/inpatient setting
Licensed in the state of employment
Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and applicable certifications
Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine

Responsibilities

Assessing and treating patients’ physical health including conducting exams and coordinating outside referrals.
Oversight of clinical care activities provided by ARNPs, documentation, and after-hours on-call responsibilities.
Performing minor procedures.
Collaborating with psychiatric and interdisciplinary staff to ensure integrated care.
Educating patients and families.
Ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
Tailoring treatment plans to the patient's age and development.
Managing a full-spectrum primary care panel focused on chronic disease management (HTN, diabetes, COPD, CHF), infectious disease, acute complaints (abdominal pain, chest pain, infections, injuries), and medication management.
Managing withdrawal processes and overseeing MAT protocols.
Suturing minor lacerations, abscess incision & drainage, and wound care.
