Physician with Addiction Medicine Experience

About The Position
As an Addiction Medicine Physician, you will guide patients through recovery with medical expertise, empathy, and respect. You will help shape treatment plans that integrate medical, psychological, and social support, tailoring care to each patient’s needs. The role contributes to reducing relapse rates, improving quality of life, and fostering hope. The agency provides addiction services grounded in compassion, evidence-based care, and holistic treatment that addresses the symptoms and root causes of substance use disorders.
Requirements
- MD or DO with board certification in Addiction Medicine, Psychiatry, or Family/Internal Medicine with addiction training.
- Current state medical license and DEA registration.
- Experience with medication-assisted treatment and evidence-based addiction care.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care.
- Commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments for patients entering treatment and ensure quality care for medically complex patients.
- Prescribe and manage medication-assisted treatment (MAT), such as buprenorphine, methadone, or naltrexone.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed.
- Provide education and oversight to medical staff regarding complex medical needs among people receiving addiction services, including detox.
