About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Primary Care Physician at the Metropolitan Transition Center (MTC) in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a Monday - Friday Evening Shift from 3-11p position focused on Inpatient Care. The Primary Care Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, treats emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The role involves working under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director and collaborating with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services. Centurion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings. Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required.
  • Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required.
  • Board Certified/Eligible in FM/IM/EM Primary Care required.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and (CDS) registration.
  • Ability to pass credentialing and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Correctional Healthcare experience preferred not required.
