About The Position

We are seeking a Full‑Time clinician to join our team in Fayetteville, NC. Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted North Carolina license for MD/DO
  • Board certification or eligibility in Emergency or Family Medicine
  • Active DEA license
  • Ability to treat patients of all ages
  • Active BLS certification
  • EHR proficiency
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
  • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)
  • Must be willing to supervise APP clinicians as per North Carolina state requirements. An additional stipend will be paid per APP supervised.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast‑track experience
  • Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
  • Experience with initial x‑ray interpretation prior to radiology over‑read

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
  • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
  • Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)
  • Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
  • Code and bill services appropriately
  • Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
  • Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
