About The Position
Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group is seeking a part-time, Travel Medicine Physician. This role involves pre-international travel consultations, risk assessment, counseling, and prescribing indicated vaccines and medications for international travelers of all age groups. The position utilizes a team-based approach to patient care with support from NPs/PAs. It offers flexibility in schedule, with part-time opportunities available. The physician will see approximately 15-18 patients per day during peak seasons. There are also training opportunities for Immigration/Green card Examinations. The role involves limited call, functioning in an outpatient style (phone/messages). Additionally, there are abundant opportunities for leadership, committee work, and quality of care projects. The group consists of collegial and accessible specialists. This is a physician-led organization emphasizing collaboration, mentorship, provider and staff well-being, and innovation.
Requirements
- BC/BE in Family Medicine and/or Med Peds (IM/PEDS)
- 2-3 years of experience as a practicing physician
