Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent required
- 3+ years of medical office experience (radiology preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and radiology subspecialties is required
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Nice To Haves
- Experience managing physician schedules or facilitating physician workflow is preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitors exam queues, assigns STAT and subspecialty reads, and ensures radiologist coverage during breaks.
- Reviews and updates radiologist schedules to coordinate procedures, meetings, and enterprise-wide coverage.
- Verifies exam readiness by gathering clinical info and ensuring all necessary documents and prior studies are available.
- Triages calls, minimizes workflow interruptions, and communicates with referring physicians and staff as needed.
- Manages unread/SLA reports, assists with software, schedules consults, and maintains professionalism and compliance.
- Maintains professionalism, supports compliance, assists with software, and upholds Jefferson Radiology values in all interactions.
