About The Position

The Physician is a highly trained Specialist responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing complex diseases and disorders affecting the liver. This role requires advanced knowledge of various organ systems and the ability to provide integrated care that focuses on the holistic well-being of patients who may suffer from multi-organ conditions.

Requirements

  • Extensive clinical experience in diagnosing and managing diseases that involve multiple organ systems.
  • Mastery in interpreting complex diagnostic tests and using them for integrated treatment planning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with internal medical teams.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD, DO or equivalent) from a US accredited institution
  • Board certification in specialty medicine such as: Hepatology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Surgical Care, Emergency Medicine, or other relevant specialties.
  • Advanced fellowship or training in multi-organ diseases required
  • Valid medical license and ability to practice in the state of Arizona
  • Must have valid documentation and authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer. Sponsorship or transfer of visa is not available

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in conducting clinical research and serving as a Primary Investigator for clinical trials highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial methodologies, regulatory guidelines, as well as Good Clinical Practice (GCP) strongly preferred.
  • Leadership and mentorship experience within a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Experience in academic medicine or clinical research related to multi-organ diseases preferred.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data management for clinical trials is high preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat diseases pertaining to the liver.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health, including physical exams, laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with complex multi-system illnesses.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to provide integrated care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of patients’ health and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Stay updated on the latest medical research and advancements in the treatment of multi-organ diseases and contribute to clinical research.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Participate in conferences, seminars, and other professional development activities to enhance expertise in the treatment of multi-organ diseases.
  • Offer specialized consultation to other healthcare professionals dealing with complicated cases involving multiple organ systems.
  • Ability and willingness to teach and train new and current team members including fellow physicians, APPs, and other medical personnel.
