About The Position

HSHS Medical Group is seeking a BC/BE Primary Care Physician to expand rural health primary care access within the HSHS Southern Illinois Market. This market includes areas such as Breese, Greenville, and Highland. The position is ideal for those with a strong interest in Rural Medicine. HSHS Medical Group is a multispecialty group with over 350 providers across 60 clinics in Central and Southern Illinois, supported by robust specialty care services. HSHS Medical Group is an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, a Catholic, non-profit healthcare system with 13 hospitals across Illinois and Wisconsin, committed to its mission and modern best practices.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted Illinois license prior to start.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Clinical doctorate is required.
  • Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients is required.
  • Licensed physician in the state of practice is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty.
  • Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program.
  • Must be board certified or board eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care services to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
  • Deliver healthcare services within the HSHS Southern Illinois Market.
  • Participate in group shared call.
  • Build a practice with support from dedicated marketing.
