About The Position

Sanford Clinic is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Rheumatologist to join the current group of 2 physicians in a very busy, growing practice. This role involves a high volume practice with a referral network spanning Western North Dakota, Eastern Montana, and Southern Canada. The physician will see approximately 17-20 outpatients per day and will have a diverse patient load ranging in age from 18 to 90. Educational and growth opportunities are available.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree.
Successful completion of an Internal Medicine or Pediatric residency program.
Completion of a fellowship in Rheumatology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their fellowship training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their fellowship training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
Demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services to be at least 50 patients in the last 12 months.
Demonstrate active involvement in the care of 50 patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months.

Nice To Haves

Training at residency and fellowship programs accredited by organizations other than ACGME, AOA or Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada may be considered via the waiver of eligibility process as defined in the Credentialing Policy.

Responsibilities

Perform history and physical examination.
Admit patients (if applicable to the setting).
Provide consultative services.
Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages with diseases of the joints, muscles, bones, and tendons.
