Physician Reviewer
About The Position
Dane Street is seeking Board Certified physicians in various specialties to serve as Physician Reviewers/Advisors for Disability Peer Review. This is a telework opportunity that allows for schedule customization and caseload management within a standard Monday-Friday work week, while adhering to client-mandated turnaround times. Reviewers will provide independent, professional opinions on claimant functionality and restrictions/limitations based on clinical expertise and evidence within provided medical records. This role does not involve direct patient care or treatment, but rather advisory-only opinions. Dane Street provides a streamlined case flow, a user-friendly work portal, and handles all communication, record organization, administrative support, and case preparation. Medical records are provided chronologically, along with treatment guidelines, in an easy-to-view format. Initial and ongoing training and support are provided.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Forensic Pathology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Hematology, Family Practice, Medical Oncology, Otolaryngology, Neurotology, Neuro-Opthalmology, Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility, Urology, Sleep Medicine, Colon & Rectal Surgery, Dual Occupational Medicine/Pain Management, Dual Internal Medicine/Pain Management, and Dual Internal Medicine/Occupational Medicine.
- Board Certified in Otolaryngology
- Current, unrestricted New Mexico Medical License
- 5+ years of clinical practice experience

Responsibilities
- Utilize clinical expertise to review medical records.
- Provide an independent, professional opinion on the claimant’s functionality and restrictions or limitations as it relates to an application for disability benefits or the current status of disability.
- Base determinations on the clinical evidence within the medical records provided.
- Attend all required orientation and training.
- Maintain proper credentialing, state licenses, and any certifications or requirements necessary to perform the job.
