About The Position

HSHS Medical Group is recruiting a BE/BC Pulmonologist to join an established pulmonology team in Decatur, Illinois. This location can support J-1 and H-1B visa candidates. The position offers suburban living with convenient access to amenities and is within driving distance of Chicago and St. Louis. The team is flexible with part-time or full-time schedules. HSHS Medical Group is a multispecialty group with over 350 providers across 60 clinics in central and southern Illinois, supported by a strong primary care referral base. HSHS Medical Group is an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, a Catholic, non-profit integrated healthcare delivery system with 13 hospitals in Illinois and Wisconsin, guided by its mission and modern best practices.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted Illinois license and DEA prior to start
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonology
  • M.D., D.O., or MBBS
  • Clinical doctorate is required.
  • Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients is required.
  • Licensed physician in the state of practice is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty.
  • Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program.
  • Must be board certified or board eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Monday – Friday clinic schedule with option of 4 or 5 day work week
  • Minimal after hours clinic call only, no hospital or inpatient call rotation.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR
  • Work with dedicated support staff
  • Utilize robotics for surgical cases
  • Flexibility to a 1.0 to 0.5 FTE
