The responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to, providing comprehensive physician services per the privileges conferred by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF). This includes delivering a full spectrum of specialty care onsite at the MTF, managing emergent, urgent, and non-emergent cases for patients aged 18 to over 65. Patient workload arises from scheduled appointments, inter-departmental walk-ins, specific diagnostic consultations, telephonic inquiries, and consult requests. Care will adhere to protocols established by the credentialing office of the 96 MDG and the Medical Director. Expected productivity levels should align with the benchmarks set by the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) for the Eglin Air Force Base concerning Relative Value Units (RVUs), which are updated yearly. The incumbent must actively participate in the inpatient management of critically ill patients, serving as both a clinical leader and patient advocate within the intensive care unit (ICU). The incumbent must operate autonomously and supervise medical residents in executing critical care procedures. Additionally, the role involves providing instruction and collaboration to other healthcare professionals, conducting examinations, diagnoses, treatments, and prescription of therapeutic regimens, delivering preventive health services, ordering relevant diagnostic tests, and facilitating consultations or referrals. A key aspect of the role is demonstrating advanced proficiency in mentoring and teaching medical staff, leading educational lectures, and participating in in-service training for clinic personnel, ensuring adherence to governmental and professional clinical standards and protocols.
