About The Position

This is a locum tenens position for a Physician specializing in Pulmonary and Critical Care. The role involves providing inpatient coverage for both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and general Pulmonary/Critical Care services across multiple hospital facilities. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. The position requires expertise in intensive care management and the ability to perform general pulmonology consultations within the hospital setting. The role is intermittent, potentially starting in February 2027, with shifts covering weekdays and weekends.

Requirements

• Competencies in intensive care management.
• Ability to perform general pulmonology consultations within the hospital.
• Experience with Epic EMR system.
• Active South Carolina medical license.
• Active DEA registration.
• Board Certification in relevant specialty.
• Fellowship required in Critical Care/Pulmonology.
• Critical Care Board Certification required.
• ACLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Preference for Pulmonary specialization in Critical Care Board Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive care management.
• Perform general pulmonology consultations within the hospital.
• Cover ICU shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Cover hospital Pulmonary/Critical Care shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Provide coverage Monday through Sunday.
• Manage an average daily patient load of 10-15 in the hospital and 10-15 in the ICU.
• Work within a practice environment covering multiple facilities.
