About The Position

Fairview is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our team in a moonlighting role (weekdays only) at the brand-new, state-of-the-art 144-bed behavioral health hospital. Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital located in St. Paul, Minnesota has an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team and help shape the delivery of compassionate, high-quality inpatient psychiatric care from the ground up. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Psychiatry Residency Program (required)
Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry (ABMS or AOA)
Current Minnesota Medical License (MD/DO) and BLS certification

Nice To Haves

Fellowship training in Addiction, Geriatric, or Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for patients with mental health and substance-related disorders.
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.
Collaborate on treatment decisions with other care providers.
Participate in crisis stabilization and coordinate care transitions as needed.
Complete timely and accurate documentation, including coding and billing.
Adhere to medical staff bylaws and maintain compliance with organizational policies and standards.
