About The Position

Corewell Health West is seeking a full-time psychiatrist for a unique, forward-thinking position in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position will be 50% within our Community Medicine practice and 50% within our new Intellectual & Developmental Disability (IDD) practice. These are well-supported practices with exceptional multidisciplinary team members. Within the Community Medicine Clinic, you'll care for adult patients' behavioral health needs and collaborate with their well-seasoned team of primary care providers. This position will have a high level of multidisciplinary collaboration, including case conferences. Within the IDD Clinic, you will deliver psychiatric care and consultative support for a patient population aged 16 and older, including both adolescent and adult patients. The position offers a unique opportunity to practice within a multidisciplinary care model that emphasizes whole-person care, care coordination, and behavioral health integration. This IDD portion of the role also includes dedicated huddle and collaboration time.

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Comfortable treating populations aged 16 and above

Responsibilities

• Care for adult patient's behavioral health needs within the Community Medicine Clinic.
